When it comes to inking up, Londoners simply are not slowing down.


About to jump on the bandwagon? The thought of getting something permanently etched into your skin can be a daunting prospect. That’s where Momentary Ink comes in. The Philadelphia-based startup creates custom-designed temporary tattoos that look and feel like the real deal.


The tattoos are designed to give the user a test-run of their potential inking, allowing them to eat, sleep and breathe with it for up to 10 days before they commit to the real thing.

The company says that, unlike the peel-away tattoos we all remember from the Nineties, its replicas do not have the shiny aesthetic that we’d likely associate with transfers.


The price of the waterproof tattoos varies depending on the size - 0-3 inches run between £9-£12, and tattoos between 8-10 inches will vary between £16-£19.


Unfortunately, you’ll have to part with a couple of extra quid to get them to ship internationally, but it's a small price to pay for avoiding a lifetime of regret.
